The Seattle office of Mid-Com Communications had an air quality problem in two areas of their facility. The copy center and data processing areas were drawing complaints from staff about the typical symptoms of a 'Sick Building'. Complaints of sore throats, headaches, dizziness, and lethargy were being experienced whenever a large copying project or a large invoice run took place. A toner smell was migrating to adjacent offices creating a generally unpleasant condition.

The installation of three Honeywell F111C air cleaners solved the problem. The 95% D.O.P. hospital-grade particulate filters removed the paper dust and general air borne particulate that is a standard component in the air of the modern office environment. The CPZ canisters removed the volatile organic compounds being generated by the printers and copy machines. Staff members now experience none of the symptoms previously reported.
The air quality awareness brought about by this successful application has prompted Mid-Com Communications to order 11 additional units to be installed when they move into their new offices.
